For New Years Week, I went two places. First I went to Kristas house, Nikki and Jullian came along to. Alot of people stayed over there over the time. Including her 3 red head cousins, who we played N64 with for a while, we couldn't get any other game systems to work at the time cause we couldn't find the right adapters. During that time a bat got in the house, it was insane. I was on MSN at the time and I told Amy, she told me to get a towel and catch it with that then let it outside. So after everybody was done screaming I suggested this and it worked out fine. I would have done it myself but my reflexes suck. But it still was the closest I ever got to a bat so thats pretty cool still.

After they left after 2 days, Kristas moms friend came up with her son and daughter, Logan and Shannon. I kinda ignored Logan for the most part, who was just an annoying guy, and hung out with Shannon, who I quickly became friends with. We took a hike and I got to show her the wilderness. We found a godly view from the mountains. We hiked back and played Scattergories. I got 2nd place, and we had alot of fun, but then things turned for the worst. We also played Star Wars Battlefront 2, which we got for free recently, and Wii Sports.

The wind started howling, and when I woke up there was no power and we were snowed it. It also turned out there was no water. I thought the snow would dissipate and the power would come on withing the day, but we found out then from Kristas mom, who was able to phone someone in Grass Valley with her cell that the power is out about 6 other cities and towns aswell.

We set alot of candles and played excessive amounts of board games, including Taboo. It became to be a bit of a joke during that game that many of the clues were "Mika has swallowed it" (the answer being Sperm Whale the first time, the clue being "Mika has swallowed it, plus the name of an aquatic creature"). It was all well and good till Shannons mom started to crack. She's very religious you see. She kinda turned into that chick from The Mist. "You must read the good book to get by these times" and trying to convert everyone while she was there into regular, Christian people. She badgered me and Shannon for not eating meat, trying to serve us meat anyways (we're strict vegetarians). There were plenty of vegetables and cheeses that were still good. She bitched at me for not believing in Christ, constantly confronting me on it. I politely dismissed her untill I eventually told her that she is stressing everyone out and making this a miserable experience. From then on she tried to make sure everyone bent to her will, apparently she took it as a complement. We finally made our own food for dinner.

We had to deal with ignoring her, manually filling toilet tanks and filling buckets with rain, and for the vegetarians, making our own food, for the next day. The snow finally went down and everybody could go home. I plan to call Shannon and see how she's doing, it must be tough living with her mom, and a bittersweet victory to get out of the storm.

I finally was able to be home. I stayed home for a day and then called up Jei to see if I could come over. I got there and she made me a gift. A black and white striped scarf with my initials on it. I gave her the gifts I got for her, an Aqua CD and an InuYasha poster. We then watched some Naruto episodes (The yeti one and the one where Shino laughs, we thought of making a Papenegu AMV to that episode xD) and Hairspray, the new one. That main actress is HOT..and John Trovolta and Christopher Walken kiss. Expect yaoi soon. We also joked around, chatted, caught up, shared music, and went bargain CD shopping again. I picked up Alanis Morisette and Barenaked Ladies. I'll have CD reviews for those CDs and the CDs I bought on Xmas aswell soon (I dunno if I mentioned but I used the XMas money to pay for some gifts I wanted to get for my friends and some CDs for myself.)

I'm still at her house and we have had a great time together. I am thankful I got out of the storm situation okay and that I have met new friends and spent time with current ones.
